Indeed I shall. I will appear as Michael Schumaker did in Top Gear last week! At last we know who the Stig is - well at least MS can add his name to all the other racing drivers who have appeared as the Stig over the last few years.

Guess I'm not alone having a re-test today, hope you have the same result as I did.

Well Done Mr Spannerman - lets see it at Shoreham now! I might find it a little difficult to come along as well though.

Stu - best of luck mate - hope you have the same result. I suppose it is now off to the local DVLA office for everyone.

Thanks to everyone for your kind remarks and good luck messages! It really helped a huge amount. High on adrenalin now so have to sit down in a darkened room for a bit.
Stuart, I wish you the best of luck with your retest as well. I had a different examiner to the one who did the original test, and yet a different one again who I spoke to regarding the exhaust level. There was me worried out of my mind about reducing from 103 Db down to 101 Db, and the meter read 95.8 Db so I need not have worried one jot. Lesson learnt is don't buy a cheap Db meter to test your exhaust level.
Now to get on with some real work refinishing the body.

Passed this morning, great feeling. Ran a bit tight on db reading, 100.6 one side and 98 the other.
Got the man from DVLA coming out tomorrow, so should be legal soon.

Congratulations Stu - another two Pilgrims on the road!

I hear that Mr Spannerman is a very patient person and will see his local DVLA by arrangement via the postal service.

WELL DONE to both of  you - oh how I wish I was nearly there; why does it all take so long.  Still, Nick, (my "mentor") always says, "If it was easy, everybody would be doing it!"

See you both on the road / show scene soon! - Roger

Being a Sussex resident now, when somebody speaks of Shoreham I naturally assume it's the one just along the coast from me. Then I get a gentle reminder that it ain't.
