One of the rear reflectors fell off after the examiner had done his "gentle " drive around, luckily he didn't notice.

Nothing on mine fell of, at least as far as I can see. Should get my V55/4 in the post today and it might be interesting to compare Stu's fast-track Roll Eyes registration to my "laid back do it by post and see what happens  Wink" registration.

Just had the inspection. Would be picking up documents friday if I wasn't going to Goodwood, so have to wait til monday before being legal.
Must say the local DVLA office have been very helpful, not at all what I was expecting.

I am a nice man, Mr Jigsaw! I love puppies and little kittens as well, but only with lots of ketchup.  Cry

Just got back from Exeter DVLA with a new tax disc and a pair of number plates Grin Grin. Could have gone last friday but had tickets for Goodwood. Now to fix all the little knocks and creaks.

Left all the forms with DVLA Sidcup on Monday with £55 registration fee, with their promise to contact me when an inspector is in the area. Nobody available to check there and then - nobody until tomorrow (thursday) so I am not holding my breath. Could not work out what tax group was applicable so settled on Historic as donor and almost all parts from K reg Marina. Let's wait and see what the inspector says! And somebody has hit the car while it has been parked outside my house on a trailer. Fortunately only the rear fog light lense is broken - new one in the post so should be pristine again by the time the inspector arrives.

That's bad luck, it being hit whilst on a trailer.
We ended up with a Q plate, but with no V55 donor, couldn't expect much else.

Finally had DVLA inspection today - so all I have to wait for now is them to call me to tell me something is wrong with my paperwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to trailer the Hawthorn over to Wimbledon for inspection to save another week waiting.

We had our inspection on a Wednesday afternoon, the paperwork was done and we could have picked up the certificate allowing us to have the plates made Friday afternoon. That was a month ago, still waiting for it to stopraining here Embarrassed

Last part of the jigsaw finally in place. Call from DVLA - Number plate authorisation certificate - all my receipts back - tax disc - number plates made on the way home - tax disc holder bought - drive the car out tomorrow, or maybe tonight....... At least I got the age related number that I was aiming for.

Eeeerm it is no different to the last lot I took and the same as the ones in the Breed! Would you like one of me with a silly grin on my face pointing at the number plates and waving the Ministers Certificate over my head? Cheesy
